Ekki er allt sem sýnist á samfélagsmiðlum eins og hin bandaríska Jessica sýnir svo vel á samsettri mynd Instagram. Jessica hefur grennst mikið og er með mikið af aukahúð sem sést ekki í háum buxum. Hún hefur ekki farið í aðgerð og segir aukahúðina betri en kvillana sem fylgdu offitunni.

Jessica greinir frá því að húðin minni hana á hversu vel henni hefur gengið að grennast síðastliðið ár en í janúar 2019 var hún 160 kíló.

„Ég hef breytt líkama mínum til hins betra og ég sé ekki eftir því. Ég tek slappa húð fram yfir sífellda verki, að vera alltaf þreytt, sífellt með áhyggjur yfir því að sætið mitt brotni, með áhyggjur af því hvort annað fólk kalli mig feita á almannafæri, með áhyggjur yfir því hvort ég muni einhvern tímann hitta rétta manninn, hvort ég fái hjartaáfall fimmtug eins og amma mín og afi,“ skrifar Jessica og segist aldrei hafa verið heilbrigðari. 

Jessica er ekki búin að gera upp við sig hvort hún ætlar að láta laga húðina seinna meir. Hún er stolt af líkama sínum eins og hann er.

„Líkamar okkar allra eru mismunandi svo ekki bera þig saman við aðra. Svona er maginn á mér og ég hef unnið fyrir því að komast á þann stað sem ég er á núna.“

Jessica greinir einnig frá því á Instagram að hún hafi náð þessum árangri með breyttu mataræði og hreyfingu. Hún hefur meðal annars fastað hluta dags sem hefur hjálpað henni mikið. Hún borðar hollt prótín, grænmeti og lítið af kolvetnum og borðar hollari útgáfu af sínum uppáhaldsmat.

My name is Jessica aka Warrior Jessica and I have #looseskin and I’m ok with that because it reminds of how far I have come since weighing 354 pounds in January 2019. I have changed my life for the better and I don’t regret it. I will take loose skin over being in constant pain, always feeling tired, constantly worried will the seat break, worried what others think from being called fat in public, worried will I ever meet the right man, will I have a heart attack at age 50 like my grand parents because heart disease is genetic in my family. Now I’m the healthiest I’ve ever been, I don’t worry what others think, I’m not in constant pain, I don’t get sick like I used to. I have so much more energy I can do so much more and I can walk, climb the stairs and talk without being Short Of Breath. Yes even talking I was out of breath. So having loose skin is worth it so don’t let it be what’s stopping you from starting your journey to getting healthier. . I’ve been asked if I’ve had surgery to remove the skin and answer is no believe if I did y’all would know. I’ve been asked if I will get surgery as of now I don’t know. Surgery is very serious and yes I’d love to have that flat perfect looking bikini tummy. Our bodies are all different so don’t compare yourself to others. This is how my tummy is and I worked hard to get to where I am. I do have baby abs coming in which is freaking awesome. I am also bloated and retaining water like crazy which that part of loose skin sucks. Because not only is my tummy loose but arms and thighs. My arms are the worse but I don’t regret it. You won’t either. The hard work is definitely worth it. #weightlossjourney #instagramvsreality

“The happiest people don’t have the best of everything, but they make the best of everything they have.” . 2017➡️2020 over 200 pounds gone forever naturally and I’m forever grateful for this journey. It has had its ups and downs but I will never stop or give up. Times are hard right now but I’ve made it a priority to get my workouts done. My weight has fluctuated and that’s ok. What’s important is that I’m back on track and IF #intermittentfasting really does help me. I had to remember I’m not as active as I was before the gyms closed so I have to make sure my nutrition is on point. I haven’t weighed myself in awhile and I can really feel a difference with the water weight. My tummy is flatter and my thighs are slimmer plus I’m in my small scrubs and they are fitting good. Last week my thighs were huge at least they felt like it and I had a hard time getting into my #scrubs so I said yelp I need to make sure I’m back on track. I cut back on carbs and healthy fats this week. It has helped a lot. If you’re having trouble stop look and think about everything you are putting in your body. Extra snacking adds up that was my down fall last few weeks was allowing myself to snack or coming home after a 12 hour shift and snacking on something. Calories add up and I had to stop get back to #IF it has really helped. I have stopped snacking and no late snacks because in my mind I’m like nope you are fasting. It works for me and it is helping me a lot. #transformationthursday
